White Oak Desert Plate

Each plate begins as a log and is then axed into a form that can be placed onto a lathe. Our plates are made on a foot powered pole lathe. On the lathe the platel is turned into its final form. Some pieces are hand painted with milk paint. All pieces are finished with a food safe tung oil. 

Designed and hand crafted for daily use. Create a unique and personalized dining set by pairing a plate with a bowl, cup and spoon. Our wooden kitchen wares are natural and food safe. Caring for Wooden Plates ~ Wash wooden wares by hand in warm water with a mild soap. When washing plates take care to not let soak or submerge in water. Plates may warp from improper washing. Wooden kitchen wares should never be washed in a machine. Be careful not to scrub painted areas. Scrubbing painted surfaces can remove paint.
